This 2002 vintage Edradour, distilled in March of that year, underwent initial maturation in a hogshead until February 2011, followed by a finishing period in a Marsala hogshead until July 2012.

Nose: The nose presents notes of vanilla, liquorice, butterscotch syrup, dessert wine, coconut, oak wood, cinnamon, and fruit salad.

Palate: On the palate, expect flavours of vanilla, butterscotch, oak wood, cinnamon, applesauce

Finish: The finish is quite unique, rich and long lasting.

The story of Edradour and the Distillery is intimately caught up in the dramatic history of the development of Scotch whisky. Before whisky became synonymous with Scotland, respected and prized throughout the globe, it was produced on a small scale in pot stills and illegally, mostly in the Highlands.
