The company was established in 2005 and includes the Anjou-based Château Bellerive, Château de la Guimonière, and Château de Varennes, and the Saint-Émilion-based Château Yon-Figeac. The company owns around 38 hectares (94 acres) in the Loire Valley, dedicated almost completely to the production of white wines. Château Bellrive, located in Quarts de Chaume, spans 12 hectares (30 acres) on the left bank of the Loire River and produces sweet wines from 100 percent Chenin Blanc. At harvest, botrytis-affected fruit is picked in successive passes, or tries, then pressed and fermented in barrel. North of Château Bellrive in Coteaux du Layon Chaume, Château de la Guimonière also produces a sweet white wine from Chenin Blanc, as well as a dry Anjou Blanc, Anjou Rouge, and Cabernet d'Anjou.
