A wonderfully fruity Bunnahabhain here, distilled back in September 2007. It spent the first nine years of its maturation in refill hogsheads, until it was transferred to Port pipes for a finishing period. At 11 years old, the single malt was bottled at cask strength.

Distilled at Islay's Bunnahabhain and matured for 9 years in refill hogsheads followed by a period of finishing in port pipes from Portugal's Douro Valley, only 1,578 bottles of this limited edition single malt have been produced. Presented at a natural cask strength of 55.3% abv, this 11-year-old expression is free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.
Bunnahabhain 2007 11 Year Old Port Pipe Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Exotic spice, pear, rose water, roasted nuts and dark berries.
Palate: Red berries and roasted nuts with pear, soft toffee and a touch of aniseed.
Finish: Rich fruit notes and subtle spice lingering.
Distillery Information
The Bunnahabhain Distillery was founded in 1881 near Port Askaig on Islay. The village of Bunnahabhain was founded to house its workers. The distillery is owned by Distell.
