A super-heavily peated Islay Single Malt matured in American bourbon and French Grenache wine casks for 10 years, only 18,000 bottles have been produced. Presented non chill-filtered and free from colouring at a strength of 57.3% abv, this super peaty dram clocks up 167ppm (Phenol Parts per Million).

Nose: Plenty of smoke intertwined with rich and fruity toasted oak, wisps of iodine, leather, walnuts and orange zest.
Palate: Rich and viscous, the smoke balances with oak and fruit notes with caramel, marzipan, vanilla and crusty malty bread.
Finish: Dry peat smoke lingers for an age.
Distillery Information
The Bunnahabhain Distillery was founded in 1881 near Port Askaig on Islay. The village of Bunnahabhain was founded to house its workers. Since 2014 the distillery has been owned by Distell and is one of nine active distilleries on the island.
