Detailed Description
This limited edition from our friends in Campbeltown is a single malt Scotch matured in rum casks as part of the Wood Expressions series from Springbank. Distilled in 1989 and matured in a combination of rum hogsheads and barrels for 12 years, it was bottled in April 2002 free from chill filtration and artificial colouring at a strength of 54.6% abv. The total outturn was limited to just 5,700 bottles.
Distillery Information
The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
