Dark Arts 8.5 Year Double Oaked Dark Star Straight Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: A complex array of sweet almonds, peppercorn, anise, and refreshing pine.

Palate: A vibrant and layered profile featuring orange rind, golden honey, crisp green apple, and smooth caramel custard.

Finish: Long and satisfying with notes of fresh herbs, mint, subtle pepper, and an oily richness that coats the palate, enhancing the sipping experience.

Distillery Information

The building was formerly a primary school and had been derelict for over 10 years. In 2021 it opened again after an extensive and complete renovation with a number of the original features being retained. Our core gin, Sky Garden Gin, takes its inspiration from the nearby Galloway Forest Park and its dark skies.
