      The colour of this wine is holding up very well – totally opaque black dark red with very deep black brick red hue. The nose displays good intensity with aromas of liquorice and black plum followed by some dark chocolate, mocha and vanilla oak with some leathery overtones beginning to emerge.

      Viking Wines is one of the smaller wine enterprises in the heart of Marananga, Barossa Valley. The wines from this premium label produces a full flavour of a true Barossa red, reflecting the distinct characters of the rich soil and sun-drenched vineyards of the pristine areas. Vinified by the new generation, the fruit is hand-picked, open fermented, and gently basket-pressed, followed by maturation in Oak Barrels. Slowly racked over time. They create benchmark wines with exceptional personality. Today Viking wines are based out of South Australia’s iconic Barossa Valley, and continue to make wine from old dry grown vineyard with vines dating back to the early 1900’s from what we consider one of the Barossa Valley’s finest blocks. Established in 1994 Viking Wines specialise in producing premium hand- crafted boutique wines with fruit sourced from premium classed old dry-grown vineyards in the sub-region Marananga, Barossa Valley. Together with pristine fruit and classic experienced winemaking, Viking Wines are able to create exquisite wines worth their weight in gold.
