This limited release Lowland single malt was laid to sleep at the Rosebank distillery in 1991 and bottled for Gordon & MacPhail's long-running Connoisseurs Choice series in 2008.

Nose: Velvety, thick, condensed milk, honey, walnuts, light sherry, raisins, dried fruits, new skin, grain, rye bread, light salinity, floral notes, chocolate, banana.

Palate: Pepper, herbal, dried fruits, honey, citrus.

Finish: Pepper, herb, dried fruit, plasticine, oak, dries, longer than average.

Distillery Information

Rosebank Distillery's history on its present site began in 1840 when James Rankine, a local wine merchant, acquired the maltings of the Camelon Distillery, which were on the opposite bank of the canal to the main distillery. Rankine expanded the distillery in 1845 before handing management onto his son R.W. Rankine.
