A 1995 vintage single malt from Clynelish, independently bottled by Signatory for its Symington's Choice Cask Strength Collection. The whisky spent an impressive 30 years maturing in a single refill sherry butt, yielding an outturn of 504 bottles at a satisfying 54.5% ABV when it was opened in 2025.

Nose: Great elegance and charm on the nose.

Palate: On the palate it is very elegant, rich and full-bodied.

Finish: Quite delicate and smooth texture on the long finish.

Distillery Information

"Clynelish Distillery's story begins in 1819, founded by the Duke of Sutherland in Brora to use local barley and provide work, but its true identity is intertwined with its "sister," the now-reopened Brora Distillery, which was built next door in 1967 to expand production, eventually leading to the original Clynelish site becoming Brora."
