      Detailed Description

This is a very structured, full-bodied wine, combining strength and charm with superb length which allows it to reveal tasty meats in sauce as well as mature cheeses such as Epoisse.

          Producer Information

Domaine de la Poulette is a very old property, belonging to a family whose presence on the wine coast has been documented since the time of Louis XIV. For more than six generations, it has been passed down by women, all passionate about wine, and who have always known how to choose men of value alongside them to carry with them the torch of the Domaine. Since 1850 we find the names of Renevey (Théodore Renevey, at the beginning of this century, created the variety of Pinot which bears his name), of Joannet in Arcenant, of Grivot in Vosne Romanée, of Charles Maitrot, who was Inspector General of Agriculture, Director of Rural Engineering and Commander of the Legion of Honor, and finally Lucien AUDIDIER, father of the current owner and manager Françoise MICHAUT-AUDIDIER. Member of the French Academy of Agriculture, Commander of Agricultural Merit, it was he who gave the Domaine its current name by purchasing after the last war a small company owning Nuits premier crus. Through social forms that evolve with the generations, centuries-old experience and constantly renewed know-how have been transmitted to keep the Domaine at the forefront of quality.
