Detailed Description

Distilled in 1992 at Loch Lomond distillery using a unique straight neck pot still, this vintage Highland single malt has experienced a long maturation in refill bourbon barrels to combine the peat and fruit driven distillery character with softer cask influences, resulting in an elegantly balance of fruit and spicy peat.

Inchmoan 1992 25 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Gentle medicinal peat, toasted oak, creamy vanilla and herbal peppermint.

Palate: Peat and fruit combines with subtle wood notes, with a sweet medicinal quality mingling with juicy pineapple, vanilla and cinnamon.

Finish: Long and warming with cinnamon, nutmeg and rich oak.

Distillery Information

Loch Lomond Distillery was commissioned by the Littlemill Distilling Company in 1964 with first distillation in 1966. In 1984, the distillery closed - or fell silent, to use the traditional term. Happily though, Alexander Bulloch and the Glen Catrine company acquired the business and resumed malt production in 1987. Grain whisky production began in 1993 and two new malt stills were added in 1999.
