It was formed in 1997 when the Tommasi family bought an estate in Pitigliano, which today consists of 66 hectares (163 acres) of vineyards on volcanic soil. The estate makes three wines – a varietal Alicante Bouschet and a Cabernet Sauvignon, and Rompicollo, a Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon blend.
