Detailed Description

Big Gus Black Rye Bourbon is a distinctive private-label whiskey created by Timber Creek Distillery in collaboration with Angelo’s Steak Pit, a longstanding restaurant in Panama City Beach, Florida. Crafted with a high proportion of rye, this handmade, unfiltered bourbon combines the sweetness of corn with the bold spice of Florida-grown black rye. Its character balances caramel and sweet grain notes with smoky cinnamon and subtle barley richness. Bottled at 100 proof, it delivers a robust, full-bodied profile designed to complement hearty dishes while remaining enjoyable neat.

Distillery Information

Timber Creek Distillery is a craft distillery based on a family farm in Crestview, Florida. Founded in 2014 by Camden Ford and Aaron Barnes, the distillery developed a grain-to-glass approach centered on producing and blending individual grain-based whiskeys. Its methods allow the character of corn, rye, wheat and barley to be developed separately before blending, giving the team flexibility in creating distinctive flavor profiles. Timber Creek produces a range of spirits and has gained recognition for its experimental approach to whiskey production and its use of Florida-grown grains.
