The Exclusive Malts North Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled at an unnamed distillery in the northern Highlands region of Scotland (hint: the distillery is Glenmorangie). The whisky was distilled on September 3, 1996 and matured in a refill sherry hogshead cask (Cask No. 7025). Following a 17 year maturation period, the whisky was bottled at cask strength (112.2 proof) in January 2014.

Nose: Aroma of peaches, vanilla and salty brine.
Palate: Notes of citrus, toffee, butterscotch and stewed fruits on the palate.
Finish: Finish is long and spicy, with a hint of woody tannins.
Distillery Information
The Glenmorangie distillery was established in 1843, on the Dornoch Firth by brothers William and John Matheson. The site originally held a farm distillery under the name Morangie. There is evidence that distillation was carried out at this site during the early 18th century. Production began in November of 1849. During the latter part of the 19th century Glenmorangie began overseas exportation and destinations included Europe and the United States.
