Named Best Speyside Single Malt at the 2015 World Whiskies Awards, this 16 year old BenRiach was also a Gold Medal winner at the 2006 International Wine and Spirits Competition.
The BenRiach 16 Year Old 80 Proof Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Pungent vanilla, honey and barley with toasted coconut, almond, toasty oak and cinnamon spice.
Palate: Toasty dry oak counters rich buttery vanilla, sweet barley and almond. Faint green apple and peat. Water amplifies fruitiness.
Finish: Dry, heavily toasted oak with very faint smoky oak.

The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker.
