Detailed Description
A heavily-peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich distillery, Octomore 11.1 has been matured in American oak casks from Jim Beam, Jack Daniels and Heaven Hill for five years after it was distilled in 2014. Aromas of lemon, damp peat, pencil shavings, peach yoghurt, toffee and heather honey fill the nose. The palate offers notes of brown sugar, peaches, apricot, vanilla, toasted oak and medicinal waves of peat smoke and salty driftwood that linger in the finish.

Bruichladdich Distillery is a distillery on the Rhinns of the isle of Islay in Scotland. The distillery produces mainly single malt Scotch whisky, but has also offered artisanal gin. It is owned by Rémy Cointreau and is one of eight working distilleries on the island.
