A Highland single malt, sourced and released by the Badachro Distillery for its Bad na h-Achlaise Collection. Badachro got its hands on two casks of single malt from an undisclosed Highland distillery, and gave the whisky a finishing period in Tuscan red wine casks before bottling it up at 46% ABV.
Bad na h-Achlaise - Tuscan Oak 12/27 Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Cut grass, stewed fruit, barley and a hint of brandy snap.
Palate: A slow build of peat on the palate, with continued apple, pear and blackberry offering a sweet balance.
Finish: Subtly peppery on the finish, plus a smidge of toasted bread.
