Derrumbes Michoacán Mezcal | 700ML

Highlighting the terroir and craftsmanship of the village of Tzitzio in the state of Michoacán, this Mezcal from Derrumbes is made from regional cupreata and alto agaves. The agave is cooked in traditional stone pits, with fermentation taking place in underground pits lined with pinewood. Distillation takes place using Filipino stills before the mezcal is rested for some time in glass. A complex spirit with the cupreata lending ripe fruit notes and the alto contributing plenty of green, vegetal freshness. This is a fabulous sipper for the mezcal connoisseurs out there.

Derrumbes Michoacán Mezcal | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Orange blossom and tarragon and refreshing, lifted, and clean.

Palate: Juicy citrus notes mix with fresh garden herbs for a slightly sweet and airy flavor. There is considerable depth, with notes of spice and acidity keeping the subtle yet rich smokiness lifted and bright.

Finish: Sweet melon and pine round out the finish.
