This November, another highly anticipated production is coming! This one is from the Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. An original distillery closed down during Prohibition in 1917, this distillery was resurrected in 2013 by current owner Corky Taylor, a 4\u003csup\u003eth\u003c\/sup\u003e-generation descendant of the original owners of Peerless Distilling. This “juice” was privately selected during an informal lunch gathering in which Corky decided to pull out several individual tasting drams from the Peerless storage warehouse. Upon tasting, several in the group (including the master barrel picker) began chatting about this specific sample dram so much that Corky ended up reserving that single barrel – which gave birth to the name Project Black Friday. More than 50 years of combined experience selected this dram so it promises to be a winner in the world of whiskey. Another especially unique fact about this barrel is that it was filled on September 11, 2015. This was the 14th year anniversary date of September 11, 2001, also known as 9\/11. Serial number R150910103 was then stored and aged for over 36 months before bottling. This single barrel yields 222 bottles at 750ml. Its Proof is 108.4, or 54.20% ABV.
