Kakira Gold Rum | 700ML

This rum hails from the Kakira Sugar Estate in Uganda, located on the shores of Lake Victoria. The rum is pot distilled from sugar cane grown on the estate, then aged in a solera style system of American bourbon and Spanish sherry casks.

Nose: Satisfying and charming aromas.

Palate: Tropical notes of ripe banana, almonds, fresh coconut, honey, and a touch of earthen spice.

Finish: Quite delicate and smooth texture on the long finish.

Distillery Information

Kakira Spirits was started on the Kakira Sugar Estate, established in 1930 by the Madhvani Family in the Jinja Region of Uganda. All the products offered are produced from sugar cane, specifically the molasses left over from the sugar production.
