Chichibu 2011 is a NAS Single Malt whisky from Japan. Bottled in 2018 at 59.1% this bottle will make a fine addition to any Japan Single Malt whisky lover. Please note that this Distillery Bottling is Ex-Pinot Noir. It is also worth mentioning that this is cask strength, single cask whisky edition of Chichibu. This is one of only 185 bottles ever produced. A fact, that makes this edition even more desirable.

Distillery Information

Chichibu distillery is a Japanese whisky distillery. Founded in 2004 by Ichiro Akuto, and operational from 2008, it was the first new Japanese distillery since 1973. It is located at Chichibu, a city in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Chichibu Distillery is the only distillery in the world to use 100% Mizunara Japanese oak washbacks for fermentation which aid in creating the distinctly fruity style of whisky for which Ichiro is known. Additionally, the distillery has its own cooperage and floor malting facility on site.
