Mezcales de Leyende Grandes Leyendas Mezcal

Mezcales de Leyenda Grandes Leyendas is a limited edition series that recognizes great master mezcaleros over the age of 70. The first edition, released in 2016, is produced by and honors mezcalero Don Anastacio, who created this ancestral mezcal using wild agave Cupreata from northern Guerrero. All of the special editions from Mezcales de Leyenda have a special social cause. Through the edition ‘Grandes Leyendas’, the brand is donating a significant portion of the proceeds to Don Anastacio and his family.

Mezcales de Leyende Grandes Leyendas Mezcal Tasting Notes

Nose: Mellow, tropical fruits, orange blossom, light smoke.

Palate: Rich, bittersweet chocolate, orange peel.

Finish: The finish is very long and sweet.

Distillery Information

Asbury Park Distilling Co., which opened on Memorial Day weekend. Asbury Park’s first distillery since Prohibition, it is also the first in the state to be located in a commercial downtown area. It was founded by a group of six owners, including Zack Ohebshalom of Fort Lee, Rob Wile of Rumson, and Andrew Karas of Ridgewood.
