Papa's Pilar 7 Blonde Rum is a premium rum that was inspired by Ernest Hemingway and released 2,000 cases in August of 2018. Inspired by the seaward adventures of Ernest Hemingway, Papa's Pilar Blonde is the first ever "Blonde" Rum, similar in color to the light rums Papa Hemingway enjoyed in Key West and Cuba during the 30's. Papa's Pilar takes rum back to its roots - when color was celebrated and fine flavors revered. It celebrates an exceptionally smooth tasting experience consisting of citrus notes, hints of almond and oak, and a creamy mouth.
Nose: Rounded nose with citrus notes of grapefruit, mandarin, and key lime mixed with vanilla, oak and a touch of crisp almond.
Palate: Creamy, buttery, vanilla taste. Layered with soft mango, orange peel and pineapple hints.
Finish: Smooth, nutty, and clean.

"Amazing in summer cocktails. Incredible nose of honey, pineapple, and butterscotch and it transfers to the palate well. Wife loves it with fresh lime & pineapple and homemade grenadine. I add a navy strength rum to the recipe to bump up the proof a bit as a neat bourbon drinker. Hold on to the screw top bottles as they have switched to a plastic cap and are becoming really hard to find in my state."
