Their vineyards are planted 650-780 meters above sea level on the ancient lava flows of Mount Etna in Sicily. Ranging in age from 60-100 years old, they draw their minerals from underground volcanic water pockets. These water pockets also keep the vines hydrated during the intense Sicilian Summer. Everything is done by hand, and Giuseppe works the vineyards organically and makes the wines himself. He vinifies each parcel separately, seeking out their individual identities in a series of wines that reflect the diverse character of their terroirs.
