Tamarindo, which is a type of Mexican sour fruit, is made with a variety of ingredients, including fresh agave, water, and lime juice. The licor de agave is made from the juice of the tamarindo, combined with water, sugar, and then boiled for about four hours. This process of making the tamarindo syrup is what creates the tangy taste.
