This bottling was done for, and only ever sold and released at, the Scotch Whisky Research Centre’s Inaugural Whisky Festival in Osaka on June 7, 2015. It is a wonderful label.
Glenlossie 1992 21 Year Old – Osaka Fair 2015 Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: The aromas have alight fruit notes with malt and spice.
Palate: Smooth and soft with good sweetness and winter spice.
Finish: Finish is long, spicy and smooth.
Distillery Information
Glenlossie was founded near Elgin in 1876 by John Duff, a former manager at Glendronach, in partnership with a consortium including Alexander Grigor Allan (who would later have a share in Talisker) and HMS Mackay. The restless, entrepreneurial Duff departed in 1888 to seek his fortune in South Africa and, later, the USA.
