Independently bottled Macallan single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in June 1993 and left to mature in a single barrel (#10354). After 21 years, Douglas Laing deemed this wonderful Speysider worthy of joining the distinguished Directors' Cut range. It was bottled at cask strength in June 2014 with a small outturn of 177 bottles.

Nose: Opens with a sweet, malty quality-carrying a light honey style & a spicy, zesty character.
Palate: Still sweet – home baked style – milk chocolate & toffee developing to soft spices.
Finish: Medium long – still attractively sweet – running to spiced ripe macerated oranges.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
