The Charanda Uruapan Blanco is a delicious rum from Michoacán, Mexico! Made from 50% Cane juice distilled in a copper pot still and 50% molasses distilled in a modified French style column still, this rum combines everything rum lovers love about agricole and standard style runs!

Uruapan Charanda Blanco Rum Tasting Notes

Nose: Full of cane-juice and sweet-savory elements.

Palate: Notes of savory and sweet, with lime basil, green peppercorns, white tea, preserved lemon and mulberries.

Finish: Finish showcases flourishes of goodness.

Distillery information

The beverage is associated with the central portion of the State of Michoacán in Mexico, particularly the Purépecha-populated areas in the vicinity of the prominently agricultural City of Uruapan. Named after a hill range in the area called 'Cerro de la Charanda' where the first distillery was built in the region. Charanda is a term in Purépecha language meaning 'red-colored soil'
