After it was distilled in Edinburgh in 2015, the spirit was matured (rather unusually for grain whisky) in a virgin oak cask for four years. It was bottled at 46% ABV in a release of 375 bottles, with heaps of sweet, caramel-forward oak influence.
North British 4 Year Old 2015 - Bramble Whisky Company Whiskey | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Milk chocolate and buttery caramel, with brown sugar and citrus curd.
Palate: Woody spices and more caramel alongside oaky vanilla and buttered toast.
Finish: A touch of tobacco lingers, accompanied by a smidge of butterscotch.
