Bottled at barrel proof without chill filtration, this expression highlights the marriage of Kentucky bourbon structure and French brandy elegance.

Nose: Caramelized sugar, raisin, spiced tobacco, vanilla, and dried stone fruit.

Palate: Layers of grape must, toffee, muscadine, leather, baked apricot, and dark chocolate.

Finish: Long and silky with fresh pear, dried herbs, and oak-driven spice.

Distillery Information

Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. was founded in 1889 in Louisville, Kentucky. After a hiatus during Prohibition, the distillery was revived in 2015 by the Shapira family. Peerless is known for its commitment to quality, producing all of its whiskey in-house using a sweet mash process and bottling at barrel strength without chill filtration. The Cognac Barrel Finished Bourbon is part of their limited-edition barrel-finish program, which includes expressions aged in various casks to impart unique flavors.
