Distillery Information

Maison Marnier‑Lapostolle, established in 1880, brought together cognac blending with tropical orange essence under the Grand Marnier banner. While best known for its iconic orange‑brandy liqueur, the “XO” variant elevates the formula by emphasizing aged cognacs and reducing the sweets to let the spirit‑character shine through. Drawing from Grande and Petite Champagne crus for the cognac component, the house crafts a premium sipping liqueur‑style cognac/liqueur hybrid. Their approach mixes traditional French distillation and long maturation with creative branding, making the XO expression both collectible and elegant.
