Suntory Haku Vodka

In 1899 when Shinjiro Torii founded the House of Suntory his goal was two-fold: to create unique Japanese spirits that would be loved the world over using 'monozukuri' craftmanship, the pursuit of perfection by meticulous attention to detail. This is an incredibly wonderful vodka made from 100% Japanese white rice. Its aromas are delicate and ethereal, with the slightest hint of fresh grass and a subtle, saké-like finish.

Nose: Soft, sweet and floral aroma of rice.

Palate: Opulent palate with the natural sweetness and complex flavor of rice.

Finish: Smooth and lingering finish with a sophisticated background.

Distillery Information

Founder of Suntory, Shinjiro Torii, decided to begin whisky-making with a passionate desire to "create a perfect whisky that reflects the nature of Japan and the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship." His decision led him to embark on the difficult business of authentic domestic whisky-making that no one had ever attempted at the time. The history of Suntory whisky and the history of Japanese whisky began by the fearless challenge undertaken Torii, who embarked on whisky-making after prevailing against the opposition he faced.
