A 2009 Caol Ila single malt from Parcel No.2 of indie bottler Elixir Distillers' Reserve Cask series. Matured for a decade in just five hogsheads, aromas of sea breeze, chargrilled lemons, lily of the valley and toffee fill the nose. The palate offers notes of barbecued pork, caramel ice cream, rosewater and maple syrup.

Nose: A bouquet of flavours: coastal breezes and smoky chargrilled lemons are followed by an indulgent dessert of saltwater taffy, which boasts a delicate hint of lily of the valley.

Palate: Honey-glazed pork is barbecued on charcoal; undertones of caramel ice cream come through with a layer of maple syrup. Floral notes of rosewater abound just beneath the surface.

Finish: This is a very light and refreshing malt.
