The domaine counts some highly regarded premier cru and grand cru vineyards among its holdings. The Lignier family has cultivated vines in Morey-Saint-Denis since the early 20th Century, but sold its grapes to négociants each vintage until 1992, when it began to bottle some of its own wines. The domaine has a little more than eight hectares (20 acres) under vine with several plots older than 50 years in its three premier cru sites, and younger vines in three grand cru vineyards: Clos de la Roche, Charmes-Chambertin, and a plot in Clos Saint-Denis so small it only produces a single barrel (production is often supplemented by buying in fruit from this site).
