An, unsurprisingly, amber-coloured dram from Macallan, part of the colour-named 1824 Series. It's matured in sherry casks and chosen to be more fully flavoured than the Gold but more restrained than the Sienna. A great example of what Macallan can do with good-quality oak.
Macallan Amber 1824 Series Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Stronger sherry notes, spice, nutty aromas and citrus on the nose, followed by vanilla.
Palate: Intense with sherry, ginger, candied notes, hazelnut.
Finish: Strong fruity finish.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
