Los Amantes Joven is a mezcal distilled from 100% espadín in Tlacolula de Matamoros. The piñas, or hearts, of the agave are baked in a traditional stone oven before the juices are extracted and ground by an Egyptian-type stone mill powered by horses. The juices are then naturally fermented in wooden bins. This mezcal is triple-distilled before it is bottled unaged.
Los Amantes Joven Mezcal Tasting Notes
Nose: Notes of sweet agave, eucalyptus and minerals, complimented a light floral note.
Palate: Notes of rich agave are well-balanced with hints of pear, apples and citrus.
Finish: Long finish.

Destileria Tlacolula is located in Tlacolula, Oaxaca, Mexico, which is a Mezcal production hub that is home to many different brands and distilleries that distribute both locally and on the international market.
