This this Single Barrel has been aged in 400 litres French oak cask with 50% aged in new oak cask that gives maximum oxygen for faster aging, sweetness and tannins, and 50% in used Cognac cask that gives smoothness.

Detailed Description
Half of this rum matured in new French oak and half was matured in ex-Cognac French oak before they were brought together at a natural strength of 65%. It was then slowly diluted over 3 years to 55% to temper the new wood tannins and harness the old wood smoothness. It was finally gradually diluted to the bottling strength of 49.9% ABV. The outturn was 526 bottles.

Nose: On the nose you will have memories of sweet papaya, dried spices, hints of vanilla.
Palate: On the palate, alcohol is well represented but very well integrated, it is well stocked. It's very gournand, on nuts.
Finish: Very nice final, hotand smoky.
