Ardbeg 1967 32 Year Old Malt Cask Scotch Whisky

This single cask expression comes to us from the Old Malt Cask range, in the days before the Douglas/Hunter Laing split. Distilled at Islay's Ardbeg distillery in March 1967, this expression has been matured for more than three decades in a single cask before bottling at the turn of the new millennium in January 2000. Bottled free from chill filtration and colouring at a natural cask strength of 49% abv, only 309 bottles have been filled.

Distillery Information

Ardbeg Distillery, which is situated on the southern coast of Islay, was founded in 1815 by the MacDougall family. Once the peated barley arrives at the distillery, it is milled and mashed with water sourced from Loch Uigeadail, which is situated approximately 3 miles away from the distillery.
