A lively blended malt from East London Liquor Company that pulls together the distillery’s own peated, unpeated, and rye-driven spirits with a Scottish single malt partner in Loch Lomond. The whisky leans into the quirks of London’s famously hard water by slow fermenting with characterful brewing yeasts to build a spirit with personality. Head of whisky Sam Garbutt created the blend itself in collaboration with John Glaser of Compass Box.

Nose: Chocolate-dipped strawberries and cherry blossom drift in first, followed by a lick of peat reminiscent of a neighbour’s fire pit.

Palate: Rum and raisin richness with white peach, dried banana, and a subtle rye snap running underneath.

Finish: Honey flapjack and golden syrup with a gentle, passing wisp of smoke.

The East London Liquor Company is based in London. The brand has revived local spirit production in the historic distilling city. This distillery, in an old glue factory in Bow Wharf, marks a comeback for craft spirits in East London after over a century. Alex Wolpert founded the company in 2014. The East London Liquor Company (ELLC) is known for high-quality, locally made spirits like gin, vodka, rum, and others. They focus on top quality at affordable prices. ELLC's production is open and traditional. They use Arnold Holstein copper stills, visible to visitors, showing the care in each bottle. They source top ingredients. Their gins have global botanicals, and their vodka uses 100% British wheat. ELLC has many gins, from their London Dry with juniper, grapefruit, and cardamom, to unique ones with local botanicals. Their barrel-aged gins have extra depth and complexity. Their rums, made from molasses and aged in old bourbon and red wine casks, are also well-regarded. ELLC has started making whisky, aiming to bring London-made whiskies back to prominence. They offer tours and tastings for those interested in craft spirits. These events let guests learn about distilling and try the spirits. The location includes a restaurant and bar. Here, people can enjoy cocktails made with ELLC spirits.
