Another tremendous single cask bottling from Douglas Laing – this single malt was distilled at Taslisker in November 2009, and matured for 12 years in a refill hogshead. In November 2021, the cask was opened, releasing an outturn of 136 bottles for the longstanding and ever-excellent Old Particular series.

Nose: Sea spray, rich oak char, and sweet smoke with diced nuts and wafts of zest.
Palate: Some meaty notes of candied bacon, intense prickles of pepper, dark, salted caramel with underlying vegetal seaweed.
Finish: Smouldering ash, more coastal salinity, sweet spiced fruits with the lingering warmth of ginger and peppercorn.
