Door County Single Malt Whisky

This whisky was made using mash from Shipwrecked Brew Pub in Egg Harbor. This unique single-malt, small batch whisky is smooth, rich and perfect straight.

Door County Single Malt Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Immediate but gentle notes of white grape, brine, Chinese five spice. A hint of salt water taffy. Once poured, a tinge of lacquer.

Palate: All-around mellow, in flavor and mouth-feel. Flavors of preserved lemon were balanced by warmer ginger tones that lingered in the aftertaste. Warming, without being spicy.

Finish: It finishes quite spiced and more mellow than the Classic, but still a bit quickly.

Distillery Information

Door County Distillery was founded in 2011 is an off-shoot of Door Peninsula Winery. Using the same local ingredients and no artificial flavors, Door County Distillery is proudly distilling the first spirits in Door County since prohibition, right here in Carlsville.
