Angel's Envy Rum Cask Finished Rye Whiskey

Lincoln Henderson has added a rye whiskey under its Angel’s Envy brand. Angel’s Envy Rye (100 proof) is made up of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It was aged for six years in American charred new oak barrels, then finished in Caribbean rum casks for up to 18 months.

Nose: Aroma of citrus, caramel, maple and rock candy.

Palate: Notes of sherry, soft oak and cane sugar are complemented by touches of spicy rye, brown sugar and cinnamon, notes of sherry, soft oak and cane sugar are complemented by touches of spicy rye, brown sugar and cinnamon.

Finish: Warming finish.

Distillery Information

Louisville Distilling started as a three-generation family affair. Lincoln Henderson was an experienced industry insider, with nearly forty years of experience at Brown-Forman as a master distiller and research fellow. His son Wesley was first CEO at a micro distillery, then a distilling consulting company.
