From Speyside's Aultmore distillery comes a 14-year-old single malt distilled in 2011 and aged for 14 years, including a finish in a single first-fill Pedro Ximénez hogshead (cask 7). It was filled into 340 bottles by Signatory Vintage for its Cask Strength Collection.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.

Palate: On the palate it is very elegant, rich and full-bodied.

Finish: Impressive length on the finish, very unique and complex.

Distillery Information

"Aultmore distillery, founded in Speyside by Alexander Edward in 1895, has a history of boom, bust (Pattison Crash, WWI), and rebirth, becoming a key component of Dewar's blends under Bacardi ownership. Known locally as the "nip of the Buckie Road," it was rebuilt in the 1970s and today produces a robust, often floral, unpeated malt primarily for blends, with official single malt bottlings becoming more common in the 2000s."
