Distilled in May 2009, the whisky initially matured in a hogshead, then finished its 15-year maturation with a 20-month stay in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez cask. The Macduff distillery draws its waters from the Gelly Burn and lies on the east bank of the River Deveron in Banffshire.
