It turns out that July 24th is National Tequila Day! And when life gives you lemons, grab some tequila and salt. According to a national survey, over 3 quarters of Americans enjoy drinking margaritas, and almost one-third love them. 30% of Americans say margaritas are their favorite happy hour drink.

Classic Margarita

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 oz Clase Azul Reposado Tequila

1 oz Cointreau

3/4 oz fresh lime juice

Kosher salt or flaky sea salt, for the rim

For the garnish: Lime wedge

DIRECTIONS

Cut a notch in a lime wedge, then run the lime around the rim of a glass. Dip the edge of the rim into a plate of salt. Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with 4 ice cubes and shake until cold. Strain the margarita into the glass with the salted rim. Fill the glass with ice and serve.

Jalisco Piña 

INGREDIENTS

2.5 oz Agavero® Original

3 oz pineapple juice

½ oz lime juice

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Pinch of ground ginger

DIRECTIONS

Shake all ingredients in a shaker. Pour over ice. Garnish with a sprig of cilantro.

Passion Cocktail 

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Anejo Tequila

3 oz cranberry juice

1 oz lime juice

2 splashes orange liqueur

Garnish: lime slices

DIRECTIONS

Gather the ingredients. Pour the tequila, cranberry juice, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into chilled stemmed glasses. Add a splash of Grand Marnier to each glass. Garnish each glass with a slice of lime. Serve and enjoy!
