The estate has been producing a portfolio of wines for over 30 years focusing on varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Riesling and Chardonnay. The family-owned estate was founded by John Wade in 1986. Upon inception, the portfolio was a duo of varietal Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon. Amy and Jeff Burch joined in partnership in 1993 and today, the estate remains within the Burch family. Howard Park joined the Australia's First Famillies of Wine organisation in 2009. Other members include d'Arenberg, Henschke and Yalumba. The Howard Park portfolio is led by the Icon Wines range, composed of the Abercombie Cabernet Sauvignon, the Allingham Chardonnay and the A.S.W Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz. The range is sourced from the best vineyard sites within the company's holdings and is designed to be ageworthy; each wine will happily cellar for a decade or more. Other notable collections include the Jeté sparkling range, produced in tribute to the Jeté ballet movement, a leap that requires time, dedication and commitment for perfection. The quadro of wines are produced from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier via the méthode traditionelle.
