The estate is most famous for its proprietary red wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot sourced from AVAs around the area, including from Mount Veeder and Howell Mountain. The Cardinale blend is created from two key estate vineyards – Veeder Park vineyard in Mount Veeder and Keyes vineyard in Howell Mountain. The Veeder Park vineyard, on the southwestern edge of the Napa Valley, is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot. Here, an 1800-foot (550-meter) altitude and gravelly loam soils create the perfect terroir for viticulture.
