"Koko Kanu is by far the tastiest, smoothest coconut rum that I have ever tasted. It was originally sold in Jamaica as 100 proof and 75 proof but the 100 proof is not available anymore and it is almost impossible to find in Jamaica anymore. Sold mostly in GB & Germany (other European countries?) The high price, if found in the US is because of the distributor's shipping costs but, as with any other fine spirits, it is well worth the cost. J. Wray and Nephew's other coconut rum product (Coco Mania) is quite good but, it doesn't compare to the smoothness of Koko Kanu."

Wray and Nephew began in 1825 when company founder John Wray opened 'The Shakespeare Tavern' in Kingston, Jamaica. Kingston grew steadily and eventually became Jamaica's capital in 1877, and The Shakespeare Tavern became highly successful.
