Also known as Domaine Arlaud Père \u0026amp; Fils, it is best known for its Pinot Noir vineyards both in Morey and in neighboring Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin. These include holdings in the Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Charmes-Chambertin, and Bonnes-Mares grand cru sites. In 1949, Joseph Arlaud acquired vineyard land as a wedding gift and, over time, was able to extend the family holdings and purchase the estate's headquarters – a 14th-Century cellar in Nuits-Saint-Georges – in 1966. Vinification and barrel-aging, however, take place in a modern cellar in Morey-Saint-Denis. Joseph Arlaud was succeeded by son Hervé and wife Brigitte in 1982. Latterly, their children, Cyprien, Romain and Bertille, have all taken a hand in the running of the estate with Cyprien taking over management in 2013. Domaine Arlaud owns 15 hectares (37 acres) of vineyard land and, after establishing organic farming in the vineyards in 2004, became the first certified biodynamic estate in Morey-Saint-Denis in 2014.
