Nariz: Gran elegancia y encanto en nariz.

Boca: Lleno de dulzura y azufre. Untuoso y muy afrutado, con melocotón y frutos rojos. Con agua queda suave.

Final: Uvas maduras y especias. Dulzura de vainilla y aún más especias.

Durante muchos años Bruichladdich fue conocida como la malta que bebían los lugareños, algo que sorprendió a muchos visitantes ya que no se repetía. La idea de que los Ileach preferirían automáticamente las grandes bombas de turba de otras partes de la isla era, aparentemente, falsa.
